New Vinyl Siding Provides Natural Looking Cover for Hunters
New Vinyl Siding Provides Natural Looking Cover for Hunters

FREMONT, Ohio, April 23, 2009 – A new vinyl siding product provides realistic looking camouflage structures for outdoor enthusiasts.  WildSide camouflage siding incorporates the look of leaves, branches, earth tones, and digitally enhanced backgrounds into its design, blending into nature for hunting cabins, shooting houses, sheds, blinds, and barns.

And while the siding becomes practically invisible in the wild, it provides a striking look for the more adventurous homeowners on their garages, sheds, and houses.

Style Crest, Inc., a manufacturer and supplier of products for the housing and building products industry, has licensed the Mossy Oak Obsession pattern for its WildSide vinyl siding.

Brad Johnson, vice president, marketing, of Style Crest Building Products, said, "While we would be thrilled to see a whole sub-division of homes in Wildside siding, we are focused on the outdoor enthusiast who has been hunting for a way to showcase a love for the outdoors on a grander scale."

WildSide is available in a double 4-inch horizontal reveal and a double 5-inch vertical reveal, along with accessories, including a window lineal that can be used as a residential accent.

Style Crest states the new WildSide product is durable to last season after season, requires only low maintenance, passes or exceeds industry standards per ASTM D3679, and is produced under ISO 9001 certification standards.

Michael Patterson, long-time hunter and Baton Rouge (La.) chairman of Ducks Unlimited, said about the WildSide product, "This definitely provides a great look for a deer stand, duck blind, hunting camp, and a number of outdoor structures."

"There is only one possible problem," he remarked.  "I've heard of people losing their camouflage gun because it becomes hard to see or locate.  What if you lost your camouflage blind or camp?"
