Versatile Vinyl Ceiling Tiles Top Off Rooms with Style
Versatile Vinyl Ceiling Tiles Top Off Rooms with Style

GRATON, Calif., APRIL 27, 2010 – Founded in the 1950s, Ceilume flourished in the post-World War II wave of construction, manufacturing ceiling tiles that have been used in homes and buildings around the world.

Today, Ceilume Smart Ceiling Tiles, made from a specially formulated vinyl, provide a variety of colors and styles to make people turn their heads – upward.

The decorative tiles are available in eight colors and 32 styles, from simple geometric patterns to floral, medallion, and other ornate designs. The panels are lightweight, easy to install, will not sag or warp, are economical, and easy to clean.

They also improve a room’s acoustics, absorbing five to six times as much sound as sheet rock ceilings.

All Ceilume products can be painted before or after installation to match existing color schemes in the room.  They are also FDA compliant for use in food preparation and serving areas, and GreenGuard certified for indoor air quality.

The Featherlight, Signature, and Drop Ceiling tiles are Class A fire rated, and the Featherlight tiles are designed and approved for installation under sprinkler systems rated 165° F.  In the event of a fire, the ceiling tiles crinkle up and drop out of the grid, clearing the way for the sprinklers to do their jobs.

Whatever color or style is used, they transform a drab room into something unique and attractive, their white tiles making a family room bright and cheery, and dark ones setting the mood in a bar or billiard room.

They are also used in kitchens and bathrooms because they are moisture resistant, and do not harbor any smells, mold, or bacteria.

In addition to being used throughout a house, the tiles have been installed in cafes, retail shops, grocery stores, beauty salons, motorcycle showrooms, art galleries, offices, churches, hotels, recreational vehicles, and vertically as a textured backdrop to a television studio.

The vinyl material has a special ultraviolet inhibitor to prevent discoloration, and do not fade or yellow, so customers have also installed them in sunrooms and patio overhangs.

Customers have posted photos and testimonials about their installations on the company’s web site.  One wrote, “The product looks great, and the installation was a snap!  It went much easier than working with traditional ceiling tiles.”

The owner of the All Green Things retail store in Woodland Hills, Calif., wrote, “It was important to find a product that was environmentally friendly.  Ceilume is a fantastic product in so many ways.”

An art gallery owner remarked, “I can’t get people to stop looking up at the ceiling rather than the art on the walls!”

Another simply stated, “The results are stunning!”
